The new branch was opened by the Hon. State Minister Mr. Shehan Semasinghe at the invitation of Mr. Mahinda Saliya, the Chairman of Regional Development Bank on 18th October 2021.

Hon. State Minister Mr. Wimalaweera Dissanayake , Hon. Member of Parliament Mr. Thilak Rajapaksha, Mrs. Damitha K. Rathnayake  General Manager, Regional Development Bank and other distinguished guests were present on this occasion. Several programmes including of providing financial services were implemented at this occasion with the participation of group of customers under the health regulations.

Mr. Athula Kumara, Regional General Manager (Covering), Eastern Province and staff were also participated for this occasion.
