PLC Al-Safa Contributes to Regional Islamic Finance Dialogue at the 11th IFFSA Conference 2026

PLC Al-Safa Islamic Finance participated in the 11th Islamic Finance Forum of South Asia (IFFSA) Conference 2026, held on 20 October 2026 at Shangri-La Colombo, under the theme “Building Legacies.” Organised by UTO EduConsult, the conference brought together industry leaders, financial institutions and experts to discuss the evolution of Islamic finance and its growing contribution to the economic development of South Asia.

The conference focused on the milestones achieved by Islamic finance institutions across the region, the industry’s expanding influence, emerging opportunities for cross-border collaboration and the growing role of alternative financial solutions in the evolving financial landscape.

A key highlight of the conference was the participation of Mr. Fazmil Mowlana, Head of Islamic Finance at PLC Al-Safa, as a panellist in Session 1, titled “Building Legacies.” The session brought together established institutions in the Islamic banking and finance arena to reflect on their journeys, achievements and contributions to the development of the industry. The discussion also explored how the experiences and foundations built by these institutions continue to shape the future of Islamic finance in South Asia and beyond.
